Hello there! Today, I'm reaching out to you not from my cottage in the French countryside but from Paris, where I'm exploring the smallish squares, hidden gardens and attending an equestrian event. ("Country in the City" will be a continuous series since I am here often).

In Paris, as in any large metropolis, it can be challenging to find calm spots amongst the chaos. The loud police sirens, impatient crowds of tourists and locals that sometimes step on your heels. Add to that the constant honking of taxis with a "Merde!" shouted between theatrical Parisians gesticulating in the air. It's enough to make me want to sprint back to my cozy home.
